5 Must-Have Tech Amenities for Your Vacation Rental Guests

Tech Facilities that Should be a Part of your Vacation Rental

Gone are the days when vacation rental owners offered travelers just the bare minimum. Today, many travelers expect their vacation rental to possess nothing less than the amenities they find at home. While toiletries, clean rooms, bed sheets, towels and a serene surrounding are prerequisites, guests require technological amenities as well. Connectivity, after all, holds top priority in this day and age.

Keeping this in mind, here are a few tech amenities you as a vacation rental owner/manager need to provide your guests with.

1. Cable TV/Streaming facilities

The least guests expect from vacation rentals is cable TV or streaming services. How else do you expect guests to pass their free time if not switching through their favorite flicks and series? Having cable TV services help vacationers feel comfortable as if they are lazing around in their own living room.

Streaming facilities such as Amazon Prime and Netflix also offers people an alternative to relax and unwind when on vacation and isn’t that the whole point of going for one anyway? If you do not want to subscribe for the entire pack, you can even have cable TV with a few movie channels. In this way, you reap the fruits of exciting deals while your guests have a good variety of options to choose from.

2. Prompt and dependable Wi-Fi

You cannot call your vacation rental technologically advanced if you do not possess fast and consistent Wi-Fi. In fact, it is the first thing people ask for when making a booking. The last thing you want is offering your guests slow running or constantly shutting down Wi-Fi when they are watching a movie, attempting to work or using their phone.

An already slow running Wi-Fi will undoubtedly run slower than a snail when attempting to connect to tablets and laptops. People want to use their gadgets seamlessly and a strong Wi-Fi should be provided at all costs.

3. Universal chargers and adapters

Leaving your chargers at home while you have reached your vacation destination leaves you with a sinking feeling. There is nothing more frustrating for guests. Finding a place where you can buy one after that is stressful, time-consuming and a waste of money. Offering universal adapters and chargers at the vacation rental surely helps you earn brownie points. If possible, an iPhone docking station is also a good idea.

4. A DVD player and flat-screen TV

VCRs and big-box TVs make guests feel they have stepped into a bygone era. A DVD player and a flatscreen TV, preferably larger than 27 inches, ensure optimized viewing where guests can easily watch their favorite shows and movies. Sometimes, guests want nothing more than to curl up in the comfort of the bed and enjoy a fun movie. Having a DVD player or a flat screen TV mounted on the wall serves this purpose aesthetically.

5. A vacation rental app

If you are a vacation owner with many properties, thinking about going in for a custom app is a good idea. It can help to offer guests an insight into relevant details and information about your vacation rental and its costs. Apps also make it easier to manage various vacation rentals and keep things better organized.

Not only will you be able to manage multiple vacation rentals seamlessly, but your guests will be able to find the best attractions and local restaurants as well as carry out check-in and check-out without any problem. This certainly puts you in the good books of various customers.

If you are looking for a constant and steady flow of guests, your vacation rental needs to be up and running with the times. Having these tech amenities in your vacation rental ensures guests feel more at home while you obtain the desired benefits that accompany it.

An iPhone docking station? This seems a bit outdated. Haven’t seen a docking station since perhaps the iPhone 4, when they were part of an alarm clock, also an antiquated fixture.

Great tips and so true with tech these days. Also say a decent Bluetooth stereo is a very nice touch. For people asking about which app they could use I use Kigo, they have a good web app. Also people can save on fees at our site http://www.abodeca.com Senang4D
