Decompress. Enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Shenandoah Valley just south of Luray Virginia in this unique conversion of a country church built in 1947 into a totally modern two-master-bedroom-suite retreat, with city water and sewer, and 100% maintenance free exterior; all new everything!
Savor a memorable valley sunset on the rear deck while listening to the gurgle of water from the pond spillway, then linger a while to watch the stars shining brilliantly in the “dark sky” environment. In the morning, step out onto your private balcony (there is one for each bedroom) and enjoy the view over the pond next door.

The space: This property was lovingly remodeled in December 2016 in a manner that respected the original layout of the church. Three 12x12 rooms, were made into 2 master bedrooms with full baths and each with a private balcony overlooking a farm pond next door. The 20x32 fellowship hall was converted to a large kitchen and dining area separated from the rest of the house with a custom ba door. The interior and exterior is all new; only the structure is original. Step out onto a 16' square deck and enjoy a peaceful sunset or star-gazing in the "dark skies" of the area.
Guest access: Guests will have access to the entire property, inside and out. There is ample gravel parking area for many vehicles
Host interaction with guests: Minimal, but I'm always available by phone or email.
The neighborhood: I love the peace and serenity of the area, as well as the beauty of the drive to get there, irrespective of which route you take. Washington, DC is less than 2 hrs drive away via Interstate 66 or I81; Baltimore is 30 minutes more.
Getting around: Access to the property is by car. But major population centers are accessible via interstate 81 or 66 with those routes less than 25 miles away.
Other things to know: The area is well known for the Luray Caves, Skyline Caves, Skyline Drive, Shenandoah River activities, antiquing, art collecting, mountain biking, family reunions, and just enjoying the peace, quiet and fresh air of the Shenandoah Valley.
